Q. How do I access O'Reilly for Higher Education?

Here is how first-time users will register:

When using O'Reilly, make sure to access the link through the FCC Library A-Z Databases page included in the steps below.

Activate your O'Reilly account for first-time users:

1. Access O’Reilly for Higher Education through the FCC Library’s database list: https://fresnocitycollege.libguides.com/az.php?a=o
2. Type in Fresno City College in the School or institution name field.
3. Enter your Fresno City College email address.
   1. Make sure your email address is all lowercase, for example: 1234567@my.scccd.edu
   2. A personal email address will not allow you to access your account through the Library. You must use your @my.scccd.edu email.
4. You will receive an email to your student email address to reset your password.

For instructors: Please notify students that they should not sign up for a free trial. Doing this blocks their account from registering as part of the Library's subscription. Instead, direct students to first activate their account by using the library's link and follow the steps outlined above.
