Food and Drink Policy in the Library

In order to conserve library resources and provide a comfortable environment, please adhere to the following:

 Computer Lab: No drinks; No food permitted
 Law Room: Covered drinks only; No food permitted
 Periodicals/Reserve: Covered drinks & snack food permitted
 Reading Room: Covered drinks only; No food permitted
 West Wing: Covered drinks only; No food permitted

Acceptable beverage containers include disposable cups with lids, plastic bottles with caps, travel mugs, and sport-type water bottles. Please use coasters.

Acceptable food items include individual snack size containers of chips, cookies, candy, granola bars, cut fruits and vegetables, and small whole fruits, such as apples or bananas.

Unacceptable food items include anything that is hot, aromatic, potentially messy, or intended for consumption by more than one person (e.g., burgers, French fries, pizza, noodles, burritos, tacos, soup, salads, large bags of chips, crackers, cookies, etc.).

Clean up any spills right away—if additional assistance is needed, contact library staff. Food waste, beverage containers, and wrappers must be disposed of.
