A library hold may be placed on your college account if: you accrue fines of over $10.00 or lose an item. The hold will prevent you from registering for classes or getting a copy of your transcripts.

To remove the hold, you may:

  • Bring back the overdue item(s) and pay the late fees associated with item(s).
  • If you can't find the overdue item(s), you can pay for the item (plus a $10.00 processing fee)

Once you have paid the fines or returned the lost book, library staff will clear the hold from your college account. If you pay for a lost item but then find the item within six months of the payment date, the library will refund your money (less than the $10.00 processing fee).

For more information, visit the Borrowing Materials section of the Library's Policy and Procedures Manual.
